Joe & Sheila share a common heritage of Irish & Native American traditions that comes from the Appalachian region of Kentucky and West Virginia, now based in Ann Arbor/Detroit Michigan.

Thursday from 6-8pm and enjoy different types of live music from around the world. From Rock to Irish to Latin, all spread out throughout the corners of Michigan Avenue.
We play funky fresh soul with a folkabilly flow. Rockin’ our own songs and jams by everybody from Johnny Cash to Snoop Dogg. Roots, rock, reggae, country, R&B, and hip hop.
BFMI was established in 2005 by Jaime and Maria Luisa Carrillo who continue to donate their time and effort leading the group
Born and raised in Detroit, Eugene picked up an alto saxophone at the age of nine and began playing at Nichols School under the direction of Norm Zamczyk.
In 1985 he was voted “Talent Deserving Wider Recognition” by The Metro Times Music Awards.
