The music of Memphis Hawk is by and far a product of years digesting U2, INXS, Leonard Cohen, Bjork, Leo Tolstoy, Jesus, Mark Danielewski, Chris Isaak, Sarah McLaughlan, Joshua Tillman, Brandi Carlile, Don DeLillo, and Daniel Lanois, then spitting out the product of these sources when mixed, merged, and agitated.
